Big Idea from a Little Girl.
My name is Meg Malone and youâre probably wondering where the heck this platform came from. The big idea from this site came from my 7-year-old named Zoey, who we call âSugâ (short for sugar) or âSuggyâ pronounced âshuggyâ. In mid-2023 we were watching the bracelet trading phenomenon take off on television at concerts, events, and movie theaters. Even on football Sundays the airways were crowded with the love story that unfolded between two big celebrities, tied together through a friendship bracelet, and as longtime Philadelphia Eagles fans we felt like flies on the wall.
Trading is Past My Bedtime.
One day Zoey, who has never been to a concert before, felt compelled to get in on the action. She asked how she could trade friendship bracelets when most events are past her bedtime? I thought the whole concept was super cool growing up in the early 90s and making threaded bracelets with my best friend at River Road pool in Wilmington, Delaware, trading within the confines of our swim team friends and I wanted her to experience it too. I went to message boards, Reddit, Facebook groupa and found it was all super convoluted and mildly concerning who I was sharing my address with.
Enter the Tech Guy.
I talked about it with my husband Dave (tech guy), my co-workers (the navy seals of digital ad buying), friends and family and we all agreed there was nowhere to go but a community that was strong and just needed a place to come together. Enter Suggy Swap a project that took a seed of an idea from one very curious little girl to bring together people all over the country.

We hope this website brings you closer to those around us or from coast to coast by spreading a little bit of love through the mail. Weâve already had people pre-register from around the world: Ireland, Japan, Spain, the United Kingdon, and while weâre not quite ready to take this operation worldwide (whew figuring out shipping logistics domestically isnât easy) we are open to your feedback to help make this community strong!
